helping our community achieve potential the chevron way
audubon
Chevron Pascagoula Refinery regularly partners with the National Audubon Society and its Pascagoula River Audubon Center in promoting environmental education programs for local students, teachers and visitors as a whole. The Center is the educational gateway to exploring nature and bayou habitats by offering educational programming for school groups while featuring local nature themes, a step back in time with the historic trolley ticket booth and Scout Hut, and hands-on learning opportunities to fit your needs. Daytime visitors can discover the outdoors on the nature trails, bayou pier, bird feeders, critter tanks, art gallery, kayak rentals, gift shop and more! Audubon aims to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.

nature conservancy
Chevron Pascagoula Refinery and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) have partnered for well over a decade on many of the 170,000-acre conservation projects across Mississippi, with particularly focus on the Pascagoula River Basin.
Chevron has provided financial and leadership support for the Mississippi Chapter and several Gulf of Mexico projects over the years, and has been included in TNC’s regional strategic planning sessions.
Refinery employees volunteer their time and energy in TNC-led clean-up efforts and in data collection for initiatives like the Coastal Streams Conservation Plan.
Chevron and the Pascagoula Refinery are proud to partner with The Nature Conservancy and look forward to our continued efforts to sustain and improve Mississippi’s rich natural resources.
