The Pascagoula Refinery currently has a strong queue of major capital projects, which will bring significant investment into the community. Chevron is continuing to evaluate other potential opportunities to enhance further the competitive position of the Pascagoula Refinery.
Pascagoula Base Oil Project
Chevron announced it has submitted an environmental permit application to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality for the construction of a premium base oil facility at the Pascagoula Refinery. If approved, the facility is expected to produce approximately 25,000 barrels per day of premium base oil for use in manufacturing high-performance lubricants, such as motor oils, for consumer and commercial uses.

Continuous Catalyst Regeneration Project
Chevron is currently constructing a major gasoline production unit at its refinery in Pascagoula. The new CCR unit is expected to increase gasoline production at the refinery by approximately 10 percent, or about 600,000 gallons per day. The CCR project will provide about 700 new construction jobs in addition to the 150 Chevron jobs we have already added at the facility. The new CCR unit with updated refinery technology will replace two process units constructed more than 30 years ago.
